Coffee Drinkers Live Longer
Researchers continue to show that coffee is associated with a longer life. JAMA Internal Medicine released a study showing that drinking all types of coffee, decaffeinated, regular, and instant, lead to longevity benefits. This was a large study of half a million people with a 10 year follow up period.
Coffee Reduces Risk of Cancer
Another study shows that coffee drinkers may cut their risk of colon cancer by 50 percent. This study shows those who drank between one and two cups per day had a 25 percent reduced chance of having colon cancer. When participants drank more than two and a half cups of coffee per day their cancer reduction risk rose to 50 percent.
Dementia Risk is Lowered by Drinking Coffee
Research shows coffee has reduced the risk of dementia by 36 percent in older women. The Journals of Gerontology reported these participants drank three cups of coffee a day.
The evidence in innumerable studies is strong that drinking coffee daily provides health benefits and longevity.
