Water was also used for healing in countries like Greece, Egypt, and China. Today, the most common forms of hydrotherapy treatments include saunas, whirlpool baths, steam rooms, and water wraps.

  • Use a bathtub. The easiest way to enjoy hydrotherapy at home is to relax in a warm bath. Having the right bath bubbles, lighting, and other little details can help.
  • Use a swimming pool. Unlike bathtubs, it’s easier to float and relax in a swimming pool. You can also exercise in the water. It will take the weight off painful joints and provide resistance for building strength.
  • Drink water. Don’t forget to also drink water for better overall health. Drinking water will alleviate depression and help with insomnia. You can even boost your water intake with DIY vitamin water.
